The album was alright. I listened to the record many times, but it's not something I could listen to all day.
The production is dope. I enjoy those jazz type drum sounds.
Features artist such as: Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, ASAP Rocky, Danny Brown and Action Bronson
As far as production, you should hear some familiar sounds from TDE's in house producers Digi+Phonics which include members Sounwave and Tae Beast.
Other familiar names: Pharell, Mike Will Made it, Tyler the Creator, The Alchemist, THC, Willie B, + Many more.
Overview:
I think the high anticipation lead to higher expectations.
I also have a theory that this was an album to reinforce Schoolboy's image and persona.
I'd like to take it into a deeper discussion so let me hear it by leaving a commment below.
If you just jumped onto to Schoolboy Q's music I would highly recommend going back and looking at his older albums Habits & Contradictions and his self-titled album Schoolboy Q.
Thanks for tuning in and have a great day.
